Status of the Lakes

Our lakes are constantly changing.  We have a lot of information to share for example, water levels, test results with locations.  Not to mention historical information.

Cyanobacteria

The APLC Board of Directors has decided to create a fact sheet regarding blue-green algae in response to the numerous questions, concerns and requests for information from members. It has become a problem all over the world; we are not unique. The better informed we are, the greater our ability to protect our lakes and the investment we’ve made in our cottages.

Foreign Species

More and more frequently we are provided with stories of species which are moving in and forcing native species out of their habitats.  One of these is Eurasian Watermilfoil; the link below will provide more information.  As more information becomes available, it will be added to the the links below.

Around the cottage

City living has many similarities to country living but there are some major differences.  One of the major differences is that we cannot use the same products in and around our cottages as we do in the city.  Many people are asking for information.
